Why The Name Porterhouse?

A lot of people, well a few anyway, OK, just a couple people have asked where the name Porterhouse came from. After all the years of playing in Blues bands, I noticed that I was the only sideman that didn't have a nickname. I wanted a name that was unique, but it was mostly beer that was the inspiration. Plus, we thought it was pretty funny at the time, and I had no idea it would stick. And if Kobe Bryant can be named after a steak, then why not me? I hope that clears it up, and everyone can sleep better knowing.
-Gregg
